New Delhi: Day after senior Congress leader Tom Vadakkan joined BJP, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that Tom Vadakkan is not a big leader when he was asked about Vadakkan decision to move to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Lok Sabha election 2019.
“Vadakkan? No, no Vadakkan is not a big leader,” Rahul Gandhi said.
Congress leader Tom Vadakkan, defected to BJP on Thursday stating Congress ‘questioning of the integrity of the armed forces’ as the reason for his defection.

“If a political party takes such a position that is against the country, then I’m left with no option but to leave the party,” Vadakkan said.
Vadakkan had been keen on a ticket to contest elections and the BJP is likely to have promised him one.
