Delhi police officials said that the man, identified as Vinod Kumar Pathak, fell on the tracks around 7:35 PM and got crushed by a train coming from Yamuna Bank metro station and going towards Dwarka sector-21 metro station.

The CCTV footage recovered shows that the man is walking on the tracks with no sense of his surroundings. “Initially it seemed like a suicide attempt, but the man seems to have slipped from the platform and fallen. Initial findings seem to show that he had some partial visual impairment. The CCTV footage has also corroborated that,” said a senior police official privy to the investigation.
