Girl stabbed to Death in a busy South Delhi market

New Delhi: In a horrific incident, a 20-year-old girl identified as Kirti was stabbed to death by a stalker on Friday in a busy south Delhi market. The incident took place at 7 pm in the evening in the national capital’s in Bhogal market.

“Today on 26.7.19 around 7 pm, PCR call was received regarding stabbing of a female. At the spot in Bhogal market, it came to notice that injured lady R/o Sarai Kale Khan, Age 20-21 years, was taken to hospital where she was declared brought dead,” Chinmoy Biswal, DCP (southeast), said.

According to reports, the accused, Moahmmed Munasir, was thrashed by the public and handed over to police.

Following the incident, passersby had gathered on the sport and beat up 25-year old Munasir, who is resident of the same neighbourhood in Sarai Kale Khan.

He was then taken by PCR to AIIMS Trauma center and is currently under police custody.

The knife has been recovered and a case is being registered under section 302 IPC for murder.
