Sacred Games 2 teaser: Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey join the thriller

The makers of Sacred Games have released the teaser of the second season and revealed the cast of the season. The teaser was captioned, “Iss khel ka asli baap kaun?” (Who is the master of this game?). The teaser doesn’t reveal much but it has certainly piqued the interest of the fans.

Along with the original star cast of Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the kingpin, Ganesh Gaitonde along with Pankaj Tripathi, who will be seen in a meatier role, joining the series are stars like Ranvir Shorey and Kalki.

While season 1 saw the departure of many favourites, Season 2 will witness Kalki Koechlin as Batya, and Ranvir Shorey as Shahid Khan. The second season picks up with Sartaj’s quest to save Mumbai despite the challenges. The intriguing Guruji (Pankaj Tripathi), introduced in Season 1 as Gaitonde’s ‘third father’, is set to play a major role in the second season.

This time around as well, two different directors have taken on the two main and Neeraj Ghaywan (of Masaan-fame) directing the present and Sartaj’s track in Season 2. Vikramaditya Motwane and Varun Grover have produced and written the show respectively.

Sacred Games is based on an award-winning book by Vikram Chandra and the second season will premiere this year on Netflix.
