Jammu and Kashmir: Landslide hits Doda, damages 13 shops

Around 13 shops were damaged in Bathri market of Bhalessa area after a landslide occurred in the Doda district on Wednesday morning.

No loss of life was reported but the shops were completely destroyed due to the landslide. The landslide took place at around 4 am and jawans reached the spot immediately, according to reports.

The locals felt the landslide at par with an earthquake.

The state of Jammu and Kashmir is prone to natural disasters like earthquakes and floods. It is also reportedly highly vulnerable to landslides.
