Pakistan must talk to India for resolution of Kashmir dispute: Imran Khan

Days ahead of general elections in Pakistan, former cricketer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has said that talks are the only solution of Kashmir dispute, Pakistan must talk to India for the resolution of Kashmir.

Speaking to media, the PTI chief conceded that Pakistan should hold talks with India on the Kashmir issue as that is the only solution to the problem.

Late last week, the cricketer-turned-politician kicked off the the election campaign by staging a major rally and promising sweeping changes in the country if his party wins.

General elections will be held in Pakistan on July 25. Khan is hoping to achieve a years-long dream of becoming prime minister.

The polls will bring to a head political tension that has been mounting since former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was ousted by the supreme court on corruption charges last July and later barred from politics for life.
