Dark mode is the hottest new trend in apps as it is easier on the eyes and conserves battery life too. Workplace collaboration app Slack is starting to test a dark mode for users, joining others, like the mail app for Windows 10 and Facebook Messenger.

The dark mode isn’t officially a part of the app yet, but it is rolling out to beta testers.
If you want to switch to a dark mode, you need to be a part of Slack’s beta testing program. You can join the beta testing from the app settings panel and choosing ‘Join Beta’ to gain access to the dark mode, which prompts you to provide your name and e-mail address. Once approved and you update your app accordingly, you’ll then have a toggle that will allow you to turn the mode on in settings.
Toggling back and forth between the mode requires you to restart the app on Android, whereas the iOS version will automatically switch.
