COVID-19 | Delhi borders sealed for a week; barbershops, salons will be opened

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced that the national capital borders will be sealed for a week, and only essential services will be exempted.

Here are the key announcements made by the Delhi CM-

– Apart from whatever was allowed till now, barbershops and salons will be opened.

– Spas will remain closed.

– All shops in markets can open now.

– Restrictions in autos, e-rickshaws and other vehicles on number of passengers are lifted.

– Delhiites can send suggestions on opening of borders to either the WhatsApp number- 8800007722 or e-mail to delhicm.suggestions@gmail.com by Friday 5 pm. Decision to open borders will be taken in a week after suggestions from citizens.

The national capital reported 1295 new COVID-19 positive cases and 13 deaths on Sunday, taking the total number of cases in Delhi to 19,844 and death toll to 473.
