Following her exit from Bigg Boss 17, TV personality Ankita Lokhande has unveiled her upcoming project, ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,’ alongside Randeep Hooda. In a reveal on January 31, 2024, Lokhande not only announced her involvement but also disclosed the film’s slated release date of March 24, 2024.
Expressing her excitement on social media, Ankita Lokhande wrote, ‘Bringing light to the lost leader from the chapters of history! Starting a new chapter right after BB17 feels extra special. Grateful to be a part of this project alongside @RandeepHooda, produced by @anandpandit63 @ZeeStudios_.’
Randeep Hooda takes on the role of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, and “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar” is presented by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Legend Studios. The film is produced by Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, and Sam Khan, with co-production by Roopa Pandit & Zafar Mehdi.
The biopic, ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,’ marks Randeep Hooda’s directorial debut. However, it faced legal troubles last year when Hooda claimed full ownership, leading to conflicts with Mahesh Manjrekar, the initially appointed director, who cited interference by Hooda as the reason for leaving the project.
Meanwhile, Ankita Lokhande recently exited the Bigg Boss 17 house. As one of the finalists alongside Munawar Faruqui, Abhishek Kumar, Arun Mashetty, and Mannara Chopra, the grand finale on Sunday, January 28, crowned Munawar as the winner. Ankita’s husband, Vicky Jain, also a contestant, attended the finale, where her mother and mother-in-law showed support for the actress.
