According to the viral video, the incident occurred at Shri Ram Chowk in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. We searched the location on Google Maps and found similar shots as seen in the viral video. The divider depicted in the video, where the woman is standing, can be corroborated by Google Street View. Additionally, the platform is adorned with a banner of Lord Ram, as visible on the map.
Scanning the Twitter handle of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Police Commissioner, we traced a press note in Marathi language, dated May 20, 2023, reporting the same incident. According to the press release, the woman in the video was identified as Shailja Vishal Udavet (Shilpa Ramrao Garud), 38 years old. She is suffering from depression. There is no mention of a communal angle anywhere in this press note.
