Cyclone Mocha caused significant damage in Rakhine State, Myanmar, including the snapping of bridges, downed power lines, and the destruction of huts in displacement camps and villages.
Against this backdrop, a video showing strong winds and whirlwinds is widely shared on social media claiming that it is the impact of Cyclone Mocha.
The video is shared on Facebook with a caption: “ঘূর্নিঝড় মোখার তান্ডব দেখুন সরাসরি, এইমাত্র বাংলাদেশে আঘাত হানলো মোখা, Mocha Live) (English translation: Watch Cyclone Mocha live, Mocha has just hit Bangladesh, Mocha Live)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE.
Performing a Reverse Image Search, we traced a YouTube video carrying the same viral video on May 19, 2016, with a caption: “100 YARDS AWAY VIOLENT STOVEPIPE EF-4 TORNADO – near Katie – Wynnewood”. One can see the viral video at the 4.45-minute mark in the YouTube video. This clearly means that the viral video cannot be a recent one.
Searching further, we traced another YouTube video carrying the same viral video on May 10, 2016, with a caption: “Top 5 TORNADO of ALL TIME: VIOLENT tornado takes out house!!!! : May 9, 2016, Katie, OK Tornado.”
We also came across a report by CBS News, dated May 9, 2016. According to the report, a tornado really happened in Oklahoma, America, killing some people.
Thus, it is evident from the above information that an old video from the Oklahoma tornado is shared as the impact of Cyclone Mocha.
