Washington: Fox News on Monday announced that anchor Tucker Carlson is leaving the network. Don Lemon announced that he was terminated from CNN on Monday.
CNN CEO Chris Licht in a statement added “Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years.”
Reacting to the reports of his termination, Don Lemon took to Twitter and added “I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated. I am Stunned.”
Don Lemon was one of the co-hosts of the show “CNN This Morning” with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins. The show was on-air for the past six months. Earlier, he anchored “Don Lemon Tonight” for more than eight years.
Talking about Tucker Carlson’s departure from the Network, Fox News added “FOX News Media, Tucker Carlson part ways.”
The statement from the media spokesperson further added “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
“Tucker Carlson Tonight ” , one of the lead prime-time shows on the Fox News Network, has aired since 2016. According to reports, the show was one of the most-watched shows on American cable news.
