Drunk Swedish Passenger Held In Mumbai For Allegedly Molesting IndiGo Cabin Crew

Mumbai: Mumbai Police arrested a 62-year-old drunk Swedish national on Thursday for allegedly molesting a 24-year-old cabin crew on board an Indigo Airlines flight from Bangkok to Mumbai.

The accused was produced before the Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate Court and was granted bail.

The passenger, identified as Klas Erik Harald Jonas Westberg, also reportedly assaulted a co-passenger and created a ruckus mid-air on the 6E-1052 Indigo Flight.

The passenger reportedly started misbehaving when the food was served, accused on the pretext of swiping the card, held the air hostess’s hand inappropriately. When the air hostess protested, Westberg stood up from the seat and molested the Indigo staff in front of other passengers, the woman told the Mumbai Police.

When the flight landed, the IndiGo security officer and CISF officials were informed and Westberg was handed over to poilice.

Westberg’s lawyer said he has a medical condition where his hand shiver and cant not hold things without support.
