Kampai, translating to ‘cheers’ in Japanese is a sure-shot destination for delicious Japanese food with some tangy Japanese cocktails.
Started by young restaurateur, Avantika Sinha Bahl, the second outpost of her premium authentic Japanese cuisine restaurant was inaugurated by Japanese Ambassador, Hiroshi Suzuki at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj.
The subtle colours of the walls and the luminous laser-cut panels are sure to touch your senses as you imbibe the visuals while indulging in the best being served to your table. The restaurant is a sophisticated twist on the traditional Japanese Izakaya style of informal eating and drinking.

The must-try at Kampai includes Japanese classics such as sushi, ramen, tempura and gyozas.
Among other delicacies, you will get some innovative dishes like Japanese-style carpaccio, Japanese pizzas, a diverse robata menu, an extensive sushi menu and much more. The signature dishes include classics like Buta Barayaki, Char-grilled lobster, Tantan Men Ramen, Miso Ramen, Black Cod Miso, Crispy Kale Yuzu Cream Cheese, New Zealand Lamb Chop, Tuna Pizza with freshly shaved truffles and Nori Crusted Salmon Steak amongst others.
The quintessential addition is the section full of a range of Robatayaki skewers that are cooked over hot coals to ensure distinct smoky flavours.
Japanese Bar Menu
Kampai has some authentic Japanese cocktails like Wasabi Martini, The Samurai consisting of Gin, Jasmine and Lemon along with Kampai classics such as Kampai Bellini, Blushing Geisha and Shinjuku Star.
Other classics include Negroni, Red/White Sangria and Mimosas.
If you are a fan of shakes, then you can pick from a wide range of Sakes – the Japanese classic drinks. Some of their signature Sakes include Haushika Kaon Sake, Bunraku Honjozo Tarusake, Hakushika Nigori Snow White and Hokkan Brewing Nikko.
Other choices of cocktails have blended whiskeys, G&T’s and Single Malts.
