PM Modi, Australian PM Albanese To Watch Ind Vs Aus Fourth Test On Day 1

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese will watch the first day of the fourth Test match between India and Australia in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Australian PM Anthony Albanese will reach India on March 8th for a three-day visit ending on March 11. Both leaders will watch the match at the Narendra Modi Stadium on March 9.

A statement from the Australian government added that “Prime Minister Albanese will also join Prime Minister Modi at the Fourth Test Match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Ahmedabad. A shared passion for cricket is a hallmark of our long-standing friendship, a relationship that has been enriched by generations of Indian Australians,”.

Talking about the event, the Australian High Commissioner to India added that “They (PMs of Australia and India) are in Ahmedabad on the 1st day of 4th Test is an indication of strong connection between Australia and India but I can tell citizens the real benefit of PMs visiting each other’s countries is that both countries win.”

Albanese is further scheduled to visit Mumbai and New Delhi where he is scheduled to hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various industry leaders.
