FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.

Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, we identified a YouTube shorts video on an unverified account, published on October 13, 2020, long before the Ukraine-Russia war broke out.

As per the video description, the visuals are from an Azerbaijani drone strike on Armenian soldiers.

With a Google Keyword Search, we traced an article, titled: Selçuk Bayraktar: “Unmanned warplanes are coming”, on a Turkish news website Haber, dated April 5, 2021

The article carries a longer video of an interview with the Baykar Defense Technical Manager of the Azerbaijani forces, Selcuk Bayraktar, who was awarded “Karabakh Order” by the President. Some keyframes in the video match exactly with the viral clip as Bayraktar explains the features of an unmanned aerial vehicle TB3.

As the Russia-Ukraine war started in February 2022, the viral video is certainly not linked to the ongoing war.

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral video is fake.
