A post has gone viral on social media claiming that a couple recently cleared the UPSC examination together.

Running a keyword search, we found an archive report by Hindustan Times Lucknow in 2017, carrying the same image.
According to the report, Dr Yogesh Kumar Sagar and Dr Avlokita Ashok both cleared the UPSC exam in 2017. Yogesh secured 223 rank and his wife Avlokita got 915 rank in the examination. It has also mentioned that Yogesh completed his MBBS from KGMU in 2012 and Avlokita did her MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi.
“For me, it was the third attempt. I qualified during the second attempt in 2014 and secured 877th rank. I am undergoing training of Indian Revenue Services. For my wife, this was the first attempt and I am glad she made it,” said Yogesh.
Multiple media outlets like Dainik Bhaskar and Amar Ujala had also reported the same in 2017. Both their names were found in the 2016 UPSC Examination results.
Hence, it is clear that the news is quite old.
