The video in the tweet matches exactly with the viral clip, informing that the incident is from Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, during a Hanuman Shobha Yatra in the city.
Conducting a Google Keyword Search, we found an article in The Quint, dated April 27, 2022, with a title: BJP Alleges Stone-Pelting at Hanuman Shobha Yatra in AP’s Nellore, Police Deny.
The image used in the article matches one of the keyframes of the viral video. According to the report, a ‘Hanuman Shobha Yatra’ was organised by the Hindutva group in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh on April 24, 2022. The report also tells about the allegations made by BJP leader Sunil Deodhar to spread communal hatred in the area.
Deodhar tweeted a similar video on his official Twitter account on April 25, 2022, alleging that Muslims threw stones and beer bottles from an illegal mosque, at the Hindus participating in the rally. The police eventually refuted the claims made by the leader.
