A video of competitors in an American talent competition dancing to India’s patriotic song has gone viral on social media. The video shows participants performing fantastic dancing skills to the patriotic music “jai ho India” from India.
The video is shared on Facebook with a caption: “अमेरिका के एक टेलेन्ट शो में भारत के देशभक्ति गीत पर दिल को धड़का देने वाला अति सुंदर नृत्य, रोंगटे खड़े हो जायेंगे” (English translation: Heart throbbing exquisite dance on India’s patriotic song in a talent show in America, will give you goosebumps)

Performing a Reverse Image Search, we found a YouTube channel carrying an extended version of the viral video, dated June 28, 2018, with a caption: “ZURCORAH Aerial Dance Group GOLDEN BUZZER America’s Got Talent 2018.” In this video, the audio version differs from the viral video.
According to America’s Got Talent’s official website, Brazilian choreographer Peterson da Cruz Hora established the Zurcaroh acrobatic group in 2009. Peterson introduced a new type of gymnastics to Vorarlberg with the founding of this performance group, which included dance, gymnastics, and acrobatic aspects. The vibrant costumes and spectacular stage decorations of the numerous choreographed routines captivate the audience.
The dance group’s Facebook page also highlights numerous of their performances, including one on America’s Got Talent. But they have not used Indian song anywhere.
Searching further for the Indian patriotic music heard in the viral video, we came to know that it is Vicky Parekh’s Jai Ho India song.
Thus, it is confirmed that an edited video is falsely shared as an Indian patriotic song used by a dance group in America’s Got Talent show.
