Adelaide: Men In Blue have started prepping for the next game against Bangladesh on Wednesday.
While India suffered their first loss in the ongoing T20 World Cup, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid seems optimistic about the overall performance.
Talking about Indian opener KL Rahul who is struggling to get some runs in the top order, Dravid said that “He is a fine player. KL Rahul has been batting well and these things happen. We know his quality as a player. We are pretty confident of him doing well,”.
In three appearances in the ongoing tournament, KL Rahul has failed to cross the single-digit mark with a total of 22 runs.
The appearance of Dinesh Karthik in the next game will be under question after he suffered an injury in the match against South Africa. Rishabh Pant had assumed the wicketkeeper’s role behind the stumps after he left the field.
Rahul Dravid while talking about him informed the press that “This morning Dinesh Karthik has come to practice. We will assess his fitness tomorrow. Our belief is to back the guys,”.
India will play Bangladesh on November 2 at the Adelaide Oval and will look to cement a place in the semi-finals with a win over their neighboring country.
