A news article with pictures of former Miss World and Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with a baby bump is doing rounds on social media. According to the report, Aishwarya is pregnant for the fifth time.
The headline in Hindi reads: “बच्चन परिवार में आने वाली है खुशियों की लहर,पांचवी बार मां बनने जा रही है ऐश्वर्या राय बच्चन”
(English translation: “Wave of happiness For Bachchan family, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is going to become a mother for the fifth time”

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim and found it to be false.
We initiated our investigation with a Google search with relevant keywords. The results did not lead us to solid evidence which could support the viral claim.
In the next step, upon cropping the viral picture collage and putting the individual items through a Reverse Image Search, we found the original pictures on ABP News website.
It can be clearly seen that the lady is Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor. According to ABP News, the picture is from the sets of her movie, ‘Good Newz’ opposite Akshay Kumar.
In the above FAKE vs REAL collage, it is clear that Aishwarya’s face was superimposed on Kareena Kapoor’s picture from the past.
It should also be noted that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan only has one daughter Aaradhya, who was born on November 16, 2011.
Hence, the news and pictures of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan being pregnant are FAKE.
