FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE.

Closely looking at the video, we found the person’s standard height at 12 seconds is much lower than the person’s height at other times in the video.

According to Guinness World Records, the world’s tallest living person is Sultan Kosen of Turkey. Kosen’s height is 246.5 cm. Kosen’s height was measured again two years later when he was 26 years old and measured 251 cm.

Robert Pershing Wardlow was the tallest person in the history of the last 100 years. He was 272 cm tall. Robert died in 1940. Looking through the list of the tallest people ever, we found the name of Alam Channa from Pakistan.

According to a BBC report, Mohammed Alam Chana died in 1998. Alam Channa’s height measured in 1981 was 232 cm. Alam Channa’s face bears no resemblance to the person in the viral video.

Thus, it is evident from the above information that an edited video is being shared with false claims.
