Roger Binny Elected As BCCI President, To Succeed Sourav Ganguly

Mumbai: Former Indian cricketer Roger Binny was elected as the 36th President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday at the BCCI Annual General Meeting.

According to reports, the election for the office bearers was made unopposed. Binny will replace former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly.

Jay Shah will continue to serve as the BCCI Secretary. Ashish Shelar has been appointed as BCCI Treasurer. Rajeev Shukla will be the vice president, whereas Devajit Saikia will be the joint secretary. Arun Dhumal has been appointed as the Indian Premier League (IPL) Chairman.

Before the appointment, Roger Binny held the post of President at the Karnataka Cricket Association. Binny was part of the iconic 1983 World Cup-winning squad led by Kapil Dev.

Roger Binny has also been part of the All India Selection Committee during the chairmanship of Sandeep Patil.
