Days after the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) was inaugurated at Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh, a picture surfaced on the internet claiming that it is of the newly inaugurated AIIMS.
The text on the picture reads: “No, it’s not Italy or USA. It’s India’s world best health infrastructure, AIIMS Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh”

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be misleading.
On closely observing the picture, we noticed the acronym ‘XMUM’ in front of one of the buildings.
Running the image through Reverse Image Search, we found the official website of Xiamen University Malaysia has the same picture in one of the brochures.
Xiamen University private University located in Malaysia set up by the Chinese Public University in 2016.
The picture of AIIMS Bilaspur can be seen here, which looks nowhere close to the picture in question.

The above findings establish that the picture in question is NOT of AIIMS Bilaspur, and it is misleading.
