Jasprit Bumrah Ruled Out Of T20 World Cup: BCCI

New Delhi: In a major blow to the Indian Team, pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been officially ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup slated in October in Australia.

BCCI in a statement added that “The BCCI Medical team has ruled out Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad. The decision was taken following a detailed assessment and in consultation with the specialists.”

Bumrah was initially ruled out from the ongoing T20I series against South Africa due to a back injury.

Mohammed Siraj was named as a replacement for the in-form pacer in the ongoing series. However, the BCCI added that an announcement on the replacement for Jasprit Bumrah will be announced soon.
