Iceland Cricket Takes Hilarious Dig On ECB’s Proposal To Host Ind-Pak Series

Date:

New Delhi: Taking a hilarious take on the recent news of the ECB offering a ‘neutral ground’ to host a bilateral series between India and Pakistan, Iceland Cricket said that they offer to host a series between arch-rival teams.

Iceland Cricket took to Twitter and added, “We hear the England Cricket Board have offered to host a Test series between India and Pakistan. We officially announce to ICC that we are also offering to do the same.”

Highlighting the merits of having the series in Iceland, the board added that “can provide near 24 hour daylight in June and July, as well as better Tweets covering the matches. Sniper security too.”

The board further added that “The India v Pakistan Test series in Reykjavík would be the first to introduce this new format that will replace the toss. Azam v Sharma. We advocate swords.”

Earlier, England Cricket offered to host a bilateral series on “neutral ground” after over 15 years. According to media reports, “England & Wales Cricket Board chairman Martin Darlow has held talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board during the current T20I series and offered England’s grounds as venues for ideally a three-match Test series in the future.”
