Fact Check: This Viral Video Does NOT Show Indian Army Training Women Commandos

A video of women commandos getting trained has gone viral on social media. The video is shared with a caption that it is of the women commandos of Indian Army.

The caption associated with the video reads: “Indian Army”.

NewsMobile did the fact-check, and found it to be misleading.

Doing a Google Reverse Image Search, we found the same video uploaded by a Facebook page, dated August 9, 2019, with a caption: “Pakistan Zindabad, Sindh police commandos.”

Another FB page also uploaded the same video on August 9, 2019, mentioning it to be from Karachi. The video was shared with a caption: “SINDH POLICE: A beautiful performance by Sindh police commandos.”

HUM News had also uploaded a video of women commandos of Sindh Police getting trained. Colour code of the dress worn by women in the viral video was similar.

NewsMobile independently couldn’t verify the origin of the video, but it can be concluded that the post is misleading.
