A video showing people crossing over a huge fence is making the rounds on social media with a claim that it shows a recent video of immigrants from Bangladesh illegally crossing over to India.

NewsMobile fact-checked the above posts, and found it to be old.

On putting the keyframes of the video through Reverse Image Search, we came across a news bulletin by News Nation, which was posted on their official YouTube channel on January 22, 2019, featuring the same video.

The same video had been uploaded on YouTube, dated May 20, 2015.

The title of the video reads: Illegal entry from Bangladesh to India at Milan Mela in West Bengal Uttar Dinajpur.

However, NewsMobile independently couldn’t verify the origin of the video, but it is certain that it is quite old.
