Shopian: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday carried out an operation in Shopian district.
A total of three terrorists have been gunned down by the police during an operation in Shopian.
The J-K Police and security forces carried out the operation. The police further confirmed that the terrorists were affiliated with the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
Earlier, the Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet updated that “One more terrorist killed (Total 02). Both the killed terrorists were affiliated with proscribed terror outfit LeT.” The police further added that the search operation is still going on.
Earlier in the day, the police had tweeted, “Encounter has started at Nagbal area of Shopian. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
