Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut’s judicial custody has been extended on Monday till September 5 in connection with the Patra Chawl land scam case.
After the initial hearing in the court, Raut’s judicial custody was valid till August 22 but on Monday a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court extended his custody till September 5.
Earlier this month, Raut was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and produced in front of a special court. ED raided the residence of Sanjay Raut on July 31 and was further arrested after being detained and questioned for hours.
On June 28 this year, Sanjay Raut was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the prevention of the money laundering case pertaining to the Rs 1,034 crore Patra Chawl land scam.
