Potholes Emerged On Newly Inaugurated Bundelkhand Expressway

Date:

Bundelkhand: A few days after being inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi the 296 Km Bundelkhand Expressway witnessed deep potholes in Jalaun district on Wednesday following rains in the region.

The visuals went viral on social media after BJP MP Varun Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav posted pictures of the scrapped road.

“If the expressway built at a cost of ₹15,000 crores cannot withstand even five days of rain, then serious questions rise on its quality,” Varun Gandhi said.

According to UP Expressway Industrial Authority spokesperson Durgesh Upadhyay, 1.5 Foot deep potholes were reported on the expressway passing from Chiriya Salempur near the district Jalaun.

According to reports, the head of the project and Engineer will be summoned for the irresponsible construction of the Expressway.

Netizens, as well as the opposition group, are criticizing the government for the inferior structure pulled up at the cost of 15,000 crores.

“This is a sample of the quality of the BJP’s half-finished development. The Bundelkhand expressway was inaugurated by big people and within a week huge pits of corruption came out on it. It is good that the runway was not built on it,” Tweeted Akhilesh Yadav.

The Potholes were reportedly repaired furiously within hours and the road was opened for transportation and travel.
