Dublin: India will take on Ireland in the second and the final T20 match on Tuesday at The Village Stadium.
The Indian side has taken a lead in the series after defeating Ireland by 7 wickets in the last game. The match was however reduced to 12 overs due to rain. Skipper Hardik Pandya and Deepak Hooda led the innings from the Indian side in the first game. Deepak Hooda played an outstanding knock of 47 runs in just 29 deliveries.
The bowling unit restricted Ireland’s batting attack to a total of 108 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal continues his top form from IPL and carries it to the International level with an economical spell of 11 runs in three overs and a wicket.
Umran Malik made his debut in the last game and bowled a single over in the last game. Hardik Pandya became the first Indian skipper to bag a wicket in a T20 international game.
Harry Tector played an outstanding inning of 64 runs in just 33 balls and impressed both side with his temperament to bat in pressure situations, in front of one of the best bowling attacks in world cricket.
