Mumbai: On the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar, Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda shared the first look, accompanied by a small video of his upcoming film ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar’ on Saturday.
The film is going to cover the life of freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar popularly known as Veer Savarkar with Randeep Hooda in the lead role.
The actor has earlier nailed the role of ‘Sarbjit’ highlighting the struggle of a man caught in confinement.
Randeep Hooda took to Instagram and shared the news of the movie and his look as Veer Savarkar. In the post, he also added “This is a salute to one of the tallest unsung heroes of India’s struggle for freedom and self-actualization. I hope I can live up to the challenge of filling such big shoes of a true revolutionary and tell his real story which had been brushed under the carpet for so long.”
The film is all set to get into the shooting phase with Mahesh Manjrekar as Director for the film.
