Double Header Day: Chennai Super Kings To Clash With Gujarat Titans In The First Game

Date:

Mumbai: Action-packed Sunday to begin with an ultimate clash between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans at the Wankhede Stadium followed by a crucial game as Rajasthan Royals will take on Lucknow SuperGiants as both teams eye a place in the playoffs.

Gujarat Titans had a dream run in their first season of IPL, being placed at the top of the table and becoming the first team to comfortably qualify for the playoffs. Skipper Hardik Pandya and his side will be back after a dominating win against Lucknow Super Giants.

Shubman Gill played a balanced inning of 63 runs in 49 deliveries in the last game but the GT batting order wrapped up the innings at a low score of 144 runs. The bowling unit took charge of the situation and turned things around for the side. Star bowler Rashid Khan picked up four wickets in the spell. Sai Kishore and Yash Dayal bagged two wickets each and dismissed the entire LSG squad in just 13.5 overs.

Chennai Super Kings will be back after a crushing defeat in the last game against Mumbai Indians. Skipper MS Dhoni contributed once again with his bat but others failed to join in, leading to a defeat in the last game.

CSK’s new find Mukesh Choudhary bagged three wickets in the last game. The young bowler will be looking forward to maintaining the form and knocking off some early wickets.
