PM Modi To Attend India-Nordic Summit, Visit France Today In Last Leg Of 3-Day Europe Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three-day visit to Europe comes to an end with his last visit scheduled to Paris today. PM Modi will depart from Denmark today to meet recently re-elected President of France Emmanuel Macron. Before leaving for Paris, he will attend the second India-Nordic Summit in Denmark.

The second India-Nordic Summit will be attended by the leaders of Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Sweden, and Norway taking forward the first India-Nordic summit of 2018 that took place in Stockholm, Sweden.

PM Modi’s meeting with French President Macron will take place post the summit over a brief stop in Paris.

During this three-day visit, PM Modi met the leaders of Germany and Denmark and he also addressed the Indian diaspora in both Berlin and Copenhagen.

In Berlin, PM Modi met the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz before participating in the sixth India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations. Both leaders signed a total of nine agreements, including a Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) on Green and Sustainable Development Partnership under which Germany agreed to make an advance commitment of 10 billion euros of new and additional developmental assistance to India until 2030.

In Copenhagen, PM Modi met his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen and held discussions on bilateral issues like trade and cooperation on environmental actions.
