Yogi Adityanath Says UP Set An Example Of Communal Harmony

Date:

Lucknow: Amid the recent incidents of communal violence in different parts of the nation, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, said that, while the government pays equal respect to all religious faiths and sentiments, it won’t tolerate the display of religious faiths at the cost of harassing people.

In a recent drive, the Yogi government has removed loudspeakers or reduced the volume of these speakers at different religious establishments across the state.

“The instructions provided for the use of loudspeakers should be strictly followed in the state. The sound should not leave the premises of the religious establishment,” Yogi Adityanath said.

UP Chief Minister reviewed the preparations for the upcoming festivals of Akshay Tritiya and Eid to be celebrated on May 3 and ordered the authorities and police to be alert and ramp up their arrangements for the upcoming events.

He further added, “Uttar Pradesh has remained free of riots and set an example of communal harmony.” He also said that this is one of the “major achievements of the government.”
