UK Court Orders Extradition of WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange

London: A UK court on Wednesday has ordered the extradition of WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, to the US where he will face a 175-year sentence for publishing, says WikiLeaks.

Assange will face trial over the publication of secret files relating to the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

The decision will now move to UK Home Secretary Priti Patel while Assange’s lawyers have until May 18 to make an appeal to the High Court if she approves the extradition..
