New Delhi: BJP works allegedly created a ruckus outside the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday over his remarks on the movie ‘The Kashmir Files’.
The protestors led by BJP MP Tajesvi Surya clashed with the police and even threw saffron color on the gate of the Delhi CM’s residence.
Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia claimed that the attack was ‘planned’ and BJP is trying to ‘kill’ Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Sisodia said: “BJP is trying to kill Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal”. He said, “In the presence of police, goons from BJP were led to the residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.” He further added that these attacks are done by BJP because they couldn’t defeat him in elections so now they want to ‘remove’ him.”
He further asked BJP to stop using such techniques as the country won’t forgive them.
Earlier, he tweeted that some “anti-social” elements have smashed the CCTV cameras and the barricade outside the Chief Minister’s residence
In another tweet, he pointed out that allegedly goons of BJP vandalized the residence of CM Arvind Kejriwal while the police brought the goons to their doorstep.
Earlier today, the police confirmed that around 100-150 members of BJP’s Yuva Morcha gathered in the morning around 11:30 to protest against the remarks made by CM Arvind Kejriwal in the Assembly on the movie “The Kashmir Files”.
The police further said that at around 1 in the afternoon, a few protesters breached the two barricades and went ahead shouting slogans and throwing paint outside the door.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi calls the entire incident “Shocking”. She tweeted, “What was the Delhi Police doing when BJP workers and leaders were going on a rampage at CM Arvind Kejriwal’s residence?”.
However, Tejasvi Surya demands an apology from Deputy CM Manish Sisodia for calling the members of BJP’s Yuva Morcha ‘goondas’. He said that this protest was held because CM Arvind Kejriwal made fun of the massacre of Kashmiri Pandits in the Vidhan Sabha.
