Here’s the link to the above post.
FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found the claim to be false.
We ran a Reverse Image Search and found the same image, uploaded by a user named Sergey Sternenko on February 25, 2022. “Ready. We are waiting for further dispositions. May this night be good for Ukraine and eternal for Russian zagarbnikív!” the Google translation of the post read.
He shared the same image on his Instagram profile with the same caption and tagged another page by the name gonor.group, who had shared the same image on their Instagram handle.
Taking a cue from this, we searched a bit about the Gonor group and as per their YouTube bio, the group ‘seeks independence and justice for every Ukrainian’. However, the football team was not mentioned anywhere in the posts or the bio.
Taking to Reuters, Sternenko, a member of Gonor said, “We are members of Gonor, not FC Dynamo.” Bogdan Ilyuk, social media manager for Dynamo Kyiv, told also Reuters that the picture does not show any Dynamo Kyiv football player.
Moreover, we did not find any credible media report to corroborate the claim. Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the picture is being shared with a false and misleading claim.
