The same image is being widely shared with a similar caption in Hindi.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral image and found that it was shared with a misleading claim.

On performing Reverse Image Search, we found the same image on the Associated Press website with the caption, “A Pakistani man carrying a child rushes away from the site of a blast shortly after a car exploded in Peshawar, Pakistan, Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013. A car bomb exploded on a crowded street in northwestern Pakistan Sunday, killing scores of people in the third blast to hit the troubled city of Peshawar in a week, officials said. As per the details, the image shows the aftermath of a blast in Pakistan on September 29, 2013.

According to other reports published on the incident, a powerful car bomb blast killed at least 33 people, including women and children, in a busy market in the Pakistani city.

However, it is true that on March 4, 2022, a blast took the lives of 56 people in a Shiite mosque in the Pakistani city of Peshawar.

Hence, with the above information, it can be concluded that the image is being shared with a misleading claim.
