FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim and found it to be FALSE.

Starting with our investigation, we performed a Reverse Image Search, which directed us to a newsletter published by Sri Ramana Maharshi Ashram that carried the same viral image. According to the newsletter, the image was clicked when Ramana Maharshi passed away on 14 April 1950.

The same image was also published on a website that carried timeline of major events in Ramana Maharshi’s life.

Thus, it is evident from the above information that an image of Ramana Maharshi after his death is being falsely shared as Sai Baba’s image.
