It is being shared with a claim that the lady in the video is BJP leader and MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur, Maneka Gandhi and that she is slamming her own party for failing to manage the COVID crisis in India.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found out that the claim is fake.

On closely comparing the face of the lady in the viral video, with Maneka Gandhi’s original photograph, we found that both have distinctly different facial features.

Further, on scrolling through Twitter along with some keywords, we came across a post by a user where he had clarified that the lady in the video is not Maneka Gandhi but a Congress leader from Ghaziabad, Dolly Sharma.

We found that the video is a part of a 22 minutes 54 seconds Live video that was uploaded by Dolly Sharma on Facebook. At around the 14:15 timestamp, one can hear her make the statement that has gone viral on social media.

In a tweet, Dolly Sharma also posted that an FIR has been lodged by Pilibhit (UP) police against her after the video went viral in the name of Maneka Gandhi.

Hence, from the above information, it is evident that the video is being shared with a misleading and false claim.
