Fact Check: This Viral Message Claiming That UP Board Exams Will Be Held From June 5 Is Fake

A post is being shared on social media claiming that Uttar Pradesh Board Exams for Class XII will be conducted from June 5, 2021.

“यूपी से बड़ी खबर 5 जून से होगी UP Board 12वीं की परीक्षा” the post read.

(Translation: Big news from UP, UP 12th Board exams, will be held from June 5.)

Some users also shared a date sheet with the claim.

FACT CHECK 

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found the claim to be false.

We ran a Google search to look for media reports regarding the same and found a report by NDTV dated May 20, 2021.

The report stated that a ‘fake’ date sheet of Class 10 and Class 12 is circulating on social media platforms.

We then checked the website of the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad and found a notice dated May 17, 2021, where it has been clarified that the viral news is fake.

The official handle of Uttar Pradesh Fact Check also rubbished the viral claim.

“#FakeAlert: The schedule of UP Board high school and intermediate exams is being viral on some WhatsApp groups and social media. #InfoUPFactCheck In this regard, the Secondary Education Council, Uttar Pradesh has clarified that such messages are completely fake,” the tweet read. 

Moreover, we did not find any updated datasheet or information regarding the Uttar Pradesh Class 10 and 12 Board examinations, released recently by the concerned authorities.
