After Cyclone Tauktae left behind a trail of destruction in several states including Gujarat and Maharashtra, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of another cyclone with a low-pressure area to form over the east-central Bay of Bengal around May 23.
What’s the warning on another cyclone?
The cyclone is termed as ‘Yaas’, a name was given by Oman. While indicating about the likely formation of a low-pressure area over Bay of Bengal next week, IMD said it will mention officially in the forecasts once it comes in the forecast skill range, according to a report in Hindustan Times.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an ariel survey of Gujarat and Diu on Tuesday to review the situation and damage due to Cyclone Tauktae.
