We found that similar posts were in circulation last year too wherein it was claimed that an autopsy in COVID-19 victims has been done in Italy and Germany.

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile did a fact check and found that all the claims in the post are FAKE.

Claim #1: Covid 19 is not a virus, but a bacteria

We found that World Health Organisation (WHO) on its website has clarified that the virus that causes COVID-19 is from a family of viruses called Coronaviridae. It has stated that it is NOT a bacteria.

Claim #2: Coronavirus can be cured with antibiotics and Aspirin

We found another post by WHO that explained that COVID-19 cannot be cured with antibiotics. It explained that since Coronavirus is a virus, antibiotics cannot be used as a means of prevention or treatment.

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) also debunked the claim and said that Coronavirus is a virus and cannot be treated with Aspirin.

Claim #3: Covid-19 disease cause blood clotting which leads to death

While there have been cases of blood clotting in Coronavirus patients, it is not the only or the major cause of death in COVID-19 patients. As per a study published in The Lancet having comorbidities like hypertension and diabetes were the reason behind most deaths.

Claim #4: Russian doctors did not use ventilators to treat COVID-19 patients after the discovery

We found various pictures on Reuters and Getty website showing doctors and health care workers using ventilators and Intensive Care Units to treat COVID-19 patients in Russia.

Earlier, NewsMobile debunked a similar claim, where a similar message was shared in the name of Italy.
