Gurugram Administration Issues Advisory To Get A Bed In Hospital

The Gurugram administration has issued an advisory to get a bed in a hospital in the district.

Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram, Dr Yash Garg told NewsMobile, “This is not a procedure ie not a pre requisite. It’s merely a forum to help patients reach out to us and we try to help the sickest lot to get admission first. It’s not mandatory for hospitals and depends on bed availability. Hospitals can admit patients independently.”

The patients can give three preferences of hospitals of their choice but the admission will be granted by the hospitals as per the availability only.

Following is the procedure:

(i) A patient desirous of admission in a private hospital after he is tested positive, may register himself on the Portal of the District Administration i.e. covidggn.com. Portal is meant only for those patients who have their addresses in Distt. Gurugram as per their Aadhar Cards.

(ii) A team of doctors to be deputed by Civil Surgeon, Gurugram will assess whether hospitalization is required or not as per standard guidelines.

(iii) Names of the patients along with their contact numbers will be forwarded to the concerned hospitals by the (designated officer) i.e Bed Management Incharge through email for considering their admissions and names of the patients admitted shall immediately be intimated through email at dcgrgiYhry.nic.in.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner has issued orders directing hospitals to increase the number of beds under the general category reserved for Covid patients to at least 60 per cent of total capacity and reserve ICU and ventilator beds to 75 per cent of total bed capacity.

Prior to this, 40 per cent of the beds under the general category and 70 per cent of the ICU and ventilator bed capacity were reserved for Covid patients.

Moreover, for the first time, more than 4,000 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Gurgaon today, with 4319 people testing positive.
