Delhi Police Arrests Couple For Violating Covid Rules, Video Goes Viral

Amid rising COVID-19 cases in Delhi, some incidents have been observed of people taking things lightly by violating COVID-19 norms. In a video that has now gone viral, a couple misbehaved with the Delhi Police personnel when they were stopped for not wearing face masks.

The couple were seen shouting at the  Delhi Police personnel in the Daryaganj area yesterday after they were stopped & asked the reason for not wearing face masks. The husband was arrested yesterday while the wife was arrested today.


Delhi has been witnessing a massive surge in coronavirus cases. Over 25,000 cases of Covid-19 were reported on Sunday. The Delhi Police on Sunday said it has registered 569 FIRs and arrested 323 people for violating the weekend curfew imposed by the state government amid a surge in COVID-19 cases.

To tackle the surge in COVID-19 cases, a six-day complete ‘corona lockdown’ has been imposed in the national capital by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal
The lockdown will be in place from 10 pm today till 5 am on April 26, the Chief Minister added. The restrictions have been announced after a meeting between Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal today.
