Open Vaccines For All, Says NewsMobile Founder Saurabh Shukla On Arnab’s Show

Date:

Vaccines should be opened to all, the young people who are nation builders, let public-private partnership step in to supplement government’s efforts said Saurabh Shukla, Founder and Editor in Chief of NewsMobile on the prime time debate with Arnab Goswami on Republic TV.

“It requires a two-pronged approach here. The government needs to get the private sector involved. Get young India vaccinated as soon as possible. Let it run like a pulse-polio programme. You need to revisit the situation as it exists today and it requires a massive vaccination effort.”

He said that let institutions vaccinate their employees and industries like hotels, aviation, and also educational institutions should get a priority.

“All I am asking is to take some collective measures. Government cannot vaccinate all the citizens on its own, let the private players chip-in. Get schools to vaccinate their staff. People who are at the forefront should also be vaccinated, irrespective of the age factor. This will boost the economy too. And, the government should also ensure strict action against violators to mitigate the spread.”

India has had successful campaigns like the pulse polio campaigns that model can be replicated, he added. Shukla also said that the other global vaccines should be allowed to come to the country so people have a choice.

If this model can be successfully implemented India can create a global model of dealing with COVID 19 for the world.

The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has surpassed 6.24 crore with over 12.94 lakh people inoculated on Tuesday.
