FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be misleading.
Firstly, we examined the clipping carefully and found that Kejriwal’s name was added to the list for his successful Odd-Even drive implemented first in 2016. This gave us a hint that the clipping is old.
We also found various media reports from 2016 that reported that Kejriwal has made it to the list of the world’s 50 greatest leaders.
Read more reports here and here.
Further, we found out that while PM Modi did not feature in the 2016 list, he was ranked fifth on the list in 2015.
Finally, we looked for the latest list ‘World’s 25 Greatest Leaders: Heroes of the pandemic’ and found that none of the above mentioned leaders are featured in the list.
In conclusion, upon analysing our findings, it is safe to say that the newspaper clipping in circulation is old.
