Buckingham Palace issued a statement on Tuesday, saying the family was “saddened” to learn of the struggles that Harry and Meghan revealed this week in the two-hour television interview with Oprah Winfrey
Following a widely publicized interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex opened up about some of the darkest secrets of the royal family — issues of race, family tensions and suicidal thoughts were raised.

A Buckingham Palace statement issued on behalf of Queen Elizabeth said, “while some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”
The statement also said that “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
Meanwhile, according to Fox News, her father, Thomas Markle, defended the British Royal family, by denying all the allegations.
Thomas Markle told ITV, the British network, that he has great respect for the royal family. And taking a dig at California, where the couple lives, he said “I think Los Angeles is racist. California is racist, but I don’t think the Brits are.”
This came after Sunday’s highly publicized interview with Oprah Winfrey where Meghan alleged that when she was pregnant with her son, Archie, there were concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.
